Technical Principle

The pollutants in the water body could be eliminated under light conditions when the device emits electrons and high-efficiency photocatalytic redox reaction occurs.

(1) Increase dissolved oxygen in water and eliminate black odor: After the device emits electrons, water molecules are decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen. When hydrogen leaves the water surface, the concentration of active oxygen in the water increases rapidly; dissolved oxygen reaches 15-20mg/L within three to five days. In this supersaturated state, pollutants such as ammonia nitrogen and hydrogen sulfide in the water body are rapidly oxidized to eliminate bad odors. After that, the dissolved oxygen returned to the normal state of 5-10mg/L.

(2) Removal of ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen: through oxidation and reduction reactions, ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen are finally oxidized and reduced to nitrogen.

(3) Removal of COD and organic matter: High-efficiency photocatalytic redox reaction occurs in the water body, and the oxidation group increases rapidly, which can oxidize organic matter into carbon dioxide and water. It can also achieve complete degradation of organic matter such as fertilizers, pesticide residues or antibiotics.

(4) Removal of total phosphorus: the formation of insoluble phosphorus (phosphate or polyphosphate) sinks to the bottom.

(5) Reduction of blue-green algae: mainly due to the photocatalytic redox reaction, which destroys the outer wall of cyanophyta cells and oxidizes the endoplasm of the cells, resulting in the loss of their physiological functions, cell inactivation or decomposition, and the degradation of algal toxins into non-toxic acids or aldehydes Oxide; secondly, reduce the nutrient content of the water body until the blue-green algae die or slow down its growth rate for lacking nutrients.

(6) Reducing organic sludge: The principle is similar to that of reducing organic matter, total phosphorus, and total nitrogen in water bodies.

(7) Treatment of heavy metals: Redox reactions occur in the water body, and heavy metals in ionic state will be converted to oxidation state and detoxified.
